When I first meet someone who has just moved to Yuma with small children, I say, “Welcome to Yuma. Have you heard about Jump Up
?” It’s an indoor gymnastics facility with open gym sessions that allow your little one to run around, bounce off the walls, and shed some energy. My kids love to jump on the trampolines, dive into the foam pit, and build forts with the blocks and mats. It’s even more popular in the summer because it’s air conditioned and just too hot to play outside in Yuma. Another great thing about Jump Up….it’s a great place to meet other moms!
Sessions cost $5 per child or you can buy a punch card w/ 12 sessions for $50 (good for a year). Babies under a year are free.
Open Gym Sessions:
9:30am – 10:30am (ages 5 and under)
11:00am – 12:00pm (all ages)
Saturday (these are great because Dad can take the kids)
9:00am – 10:00am (ages 5 and under)
10:00am – 11:30am (all ages)
**parent supervision is required for all children under 4.
Jump Up also offers birthday parties, trampoline & tumbling classes, and a cheer class for all ages.
They offer a Junior Jumping Beans class for ages 0-3 with moms, Jumping Beans for ages 2-4, Kinder Jumpers for ages 5-6, Beginning Jumpers for ages 5 and up and more advanced classes. Classes start at $40 a month for 1 class.
Where is Jump Up? It’s located off of Arizona Ave, turn on E. 20th St (there’s a HONDA Powersports on the corner). Follow E. 20th down past the recycling center till the road dead ends, turn right and it will be on your left hand side.
Confused? In the past year and a half, this facility has changed owners at least three times. When we first moved here, it had been called WAY Gym and Gymnastics World of Yuma had just taken over and done a lot to really clean it up. Then about 6 months later, it was bought out and the name was changed to Jump Up. I believe it has since changed owners, but the name stayed the same. I’m just thrilled that it has stayed open!
