When we first got to Yuma, I was so excited to see that we had a Chuck E. Cheese’s (located in the Yuma Palms shopping center), but now my kids are always begging me to go to there and it can get expensive. Here’s a great way to have fun and do it for less. I grab a friend w/ kids, split a coupon (available on their website here, but I get even better deals by joining their Chuck E. Club) and go for a late lunch during the week when there aren’t as many people. This was a great activity to do after the Summer Movie at Harkins. Usually I can get a coupon for a large pizza and 4 drinks and 25-40 tokens for about $20, which we split to cover 2 adults and 4 small kids – usually that’s enough pizza to cover everyone for lunch or the moms grab something healthier before or after Chuck E. Cheese’s.
Another great way to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese’s is to check out their promotions and rewards calendars before you go. There are rewards for reading, getting dressed, loosing a tooth, brushing your teeth, potty training and MORE! And each one can be turned in for 10 free tokens! For school-aged children, if they bring in their report cards they can get up to 15 free tokens. If you play your cards right, or your tokens in this case, you can save some of those tokens and come back on a hot afternoon and JUST play without buying anything!
