“Bright and Healthy Start” provides early childhood education to parents and caregivers of children ages 0 through 5 years. Classes are 6-weeks long and held at the Main Library. English Classes on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Spanish classes on Wednesday nights 7pm – 8:30pm. We provide trainings FREE to all who attend. No pre-qualifying guidelines. We provide trainings at schools, daycare centers, head starts, community sessions for the public and to other agencies.
The current session just started this last Tuesday and Wednesday. New sessions will follow with same topics. Also, other sessions will soon be available during other days and times to best serve the needs of the community.
Our 6 class sessions run in the following order:
1. Nurturing Brain Development
2. The Importance of PLAY
3. Guidance for Positive Discipline
4. Promoting Language and Literacy
5. Child Health and Safety
6. Child Nutrition and Physical Activity
