WANTED: Pedicure Reviews

Mother’s Day and summer are just around the corner and that equals two popular reasons to get a pedicure. But which salons have the best service?  I recently had a pedicure where I had to pay extra for a heel scrub.  Is that standard now?  With the risk of staff infections, being cut, and being overcharged, help YumaMom.com gather the scoop on the best places to go.

I love #1 Nails on Pacific Ave by Walmart. Ann and her crew do a great job and are friendly as can be. I think their prices are very reasonable. I've never had to pay extra for a heel scrub. Only if I want a design on my freshly painted toes!

I tried out Lotus Day Spa and they are not bad. My only complaint was that I had a late appointment (my own doing) so it was getting dark and you could now see in from the one way glass and the chair was facing the parking lot so everybody that walked by or parked in front of the window was able to see me soaking. Being on display didn't make it feel very relaxing.

I love #1nails on Pacific by walmart also. I haven't had a pedi there yet, however Jenny in there did my nails when I first moved here about 8mths ago. She does a great job and the nails lasted a long time!! I also have Jenny do my eyebrows and she is great! My grandmother got me a pedi when I first got here out in the foothills. If your heading East on i-8 take exit 12, go right, once you go through the intersection you will see a small wells fargo on your left. In that little shopping center a ladie name Van did my pedi. Oh my gosh I think it was the best I've ever had! She not only scrubbed my heal at no extra charge she also pulled out the good'ol drill on them..hahaha. To top it off she gave my feet and lower legs a wonderful unrushed message… Jenny will continue to do my nails and brows and I have a gift certifcate I can't to go see Van with. Hope it helped a little

I used to love the place in the mall next to claires because they have childrens chairs and appear to be clean, until about 6 weeks ago when I got cut there. I am now fairly cautious. I also like the Davi nails in the foothills Walmart. The gentleman who owns the place does a great job although he is fairly slow at french manicures. Plan on being there a while…he is worth it. Just got a pedi at the Nail Spa (by Claire's at Yuma Palms) yesterday. Extra $5 for them to scrub my heels-they just use the pediEgg, extra $10 for sea salt and extra to trim your toenails. The staff is always friendly and my toes look good, but think it's silly to pay for extra's that should just be part of the pedicure.

I LOVE # 1 Nails on Pacific too! You cannot go wrong with any of the staff there. Ann, the owner does nails, but the rest of the staff do it all. They are super friendly, GREAT prices, massage chairs, and clean shop! I've been going to them off and on for over 6 years. A+++++ Jen H. : )

Love Ultimate Nail Salon in the Foothills (928)342-0098! Diane, Amy & Veronica give awesome pedicures! Amy does great flowers if you want a little extra, but I see Diane, because her calf massages are the best! They also do this really cool pedicure that makes your feet look amazing! Super Cheap Prices, too! $20 for a regular Spa Pedicure no extra charge for bling, & $30 for the Special 3 step Foot Mask that made my feet look like they did before I had kids! You do have to buy the $3 sanitary kit, but it's yours and if you bring it back every time you go, it's your dirt! Whenever I get a pedicure I never let them cut my nails, only file them. I've heard this can prevent ingrown toenails, too & since I don't get them, maybe it works?? I also know they really clean their massage chair tubs out really well! :~}Happy Summer Feet Everybody!

You gotta try Patty at Classic Design (on 4th Ave across from Hastings) 928-344-5019. She gives a really awesome pedicure – excellent value. I've been going to her for 10 years and I highly recommend her. She's great!!!

I love, love, love Michelle at Best Nails on 16th and Ave B. She is absolutely the sweetest, kindest, friendliest nail tech I have ever went to. She does not just go through the motions, she really, really cares about her customers and does her very best to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Price is great too! And for a cheap, professional eyebrow wax job, she's your gal! Tell her things about you and you will be amazed at her memory the next time you go back! :)
