2017 City Pools Guide

Don’t have a pool out back? Your neighbors are mean and won’t invite you over? Don’t despair! The City has plenty of options for you this summer. Check out the Open Swim times below. If you are interested in getting a Monthly or Season Pass, click HERE. Another (FREE!) way to cool off is to visit the splash pads at Friendship Park and Carver Park.

Valley Aquatic Center

Open Swim

The hours of summer operation of open swim at each of the City’s municipal pools are as follows:


Valley Aquatic Center – 4381 West 18th Street

June 3 – July 30: Tuesday through Sunday, 1:00 to 7:45 pm

August 5 – August 27: Saturday and Sunday only, 1:00 – 5:45 pm

Admission is $2.50 for kids/$4 adults


Kennedy Pool – Kennedy Ln. and 23rd St.
June 6 – July 28:  Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 3:45 p.m. – FREE!!!

Marcus Pool – 5th St and 5th Ave.
June 6 – July 27: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. – FREE!!!


Carver Pool – 1250 W. 12th St.
Note: Carver Pool does not offer open swim. Carver is utilized for aquatic programs and swim lessons only.

Rent a Pool for Your Summer Party

Valley Aquatic Center, Carver, Kennedy and Marcus Pools are all available for rentals throughout the summer. The Valley Aquatic Center even has its own party room named “The Aquarium,” with an ocean-themed décor.  For information about rates and availability, please contact the Parks & Recreation office.
