The Camel Farm will open September 30 for the season!
We have so much fun at The Camel Farm. The animals are all very friendly. The staff is so willing to visit and educate the kids (and parents) if you choose. There are many exotic animals to see. Some of the animals I can recall are camels, ostrich, kangaroo, zedonk, miniature cow, chickens, pheasants, guinea fowl, kinkajou (cutest things ever), goats, deer, hedgehog, ferret, and many more.
It’s a bit of a drive (15 – 20 minutes from the center of town) but worth it. If you are near the MCAS, you are practically neighbors (exaggerating a bit). The address is 15672 S. Avenue 1E. They are closed on Mondays but open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. all other days of the week. Call (928) 627-7511 if you have any questions. The prices are listed in the above image, and I highly recommend buying a cup of pellets for $1 to feed the animals. They go nuts (and so did I).
Admission is $8, $6 for age 55 and up, $5 for kids ages 3 to 12, and ages 2 and under get in free.
