Private Swim Instructor

Looking for a swim instructor in Yuma? Jackie Butler is the instructor you need!

Jackie is a native Yuman who has been teaching swim lessons for over 6 years.  She got her start as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor in the City of Yuma, but now teaches private swim lessons in your own home. You provide the pool, and she’ll come with all the tools for a successful and fun lesson.

Swim lessons for one child are usually 30 minutes.  If more than one child is present in the lesson, the lesson will be 45 minutes.  These times are based upon student attention spans and energy levels.

    Hi Grace!
I don’t usually recommend starting swim lessons before a child is a year old. I’m more than happy to work with getting infants comfortable in the water and starting to teach them how to float, but I’m not certified in the infant self-rescue technique. When a child turns one, they can start to be taught how to swim with their head underwater. Depending on the child, between the ages of 2 and 4 they can start learning how to swim independently. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
